Northern Hills Ag Fest
The Northern Hills Ag Fest, a committee of the Sturgis Chamber of Commerce, partners with the Meade County Fair to host an evening of family friendly entertainment to celebrate the agricultural members of our Sturgis Community and Meade County. The event features a free dinner, Mutton Bustin', a Calf Scramble, Dress-A- Sheep and Dress-A-Calf Contest!

Little cowboys and cowgirls will get the ride of their lives on the back of a sheep during the Mutton Bustin' Contest at the Meade County Fair and Northern Hills Ag Fest! All youth ages 4-7 (weighing no more than 60 lbs.) are eligible to participate. There will be 2 qualitifying classes. The first class will be made up of 4-5 year olds with the second class being ages 6-7. Ages will be determined as of the date of the event. Head over to Sturgis Chamber to pre-register for the event!
Mutton Bustin'
Youth ages 8-12 will pull a ribbon off of the tail of calves for a chance to win cash prizes! The participants will be split into 2 age divisions. The youth division will be comprised of ages 8-9 and the teen division will be ages 10-12! Pre-register at the Sturgis Chamber of Commerce or sign up the day of the event.
Calf Scramble
Youth in teams of 4 compete to show off their ranching skills! This relay race challenges competitors to move quickly to beat their competing teams in a series of activities that are sure to make everyone laugh!
